Year 11 students

Dear year 11 Students
PLEASE BE AWARE A SMALL NUMBER OF STUDENTS HAVE DIFFERENT ARRANGEMENTS TO THE BELOW. THEY HAVE BEEN CONTACTED SEPARATELY BY BHES STAFF.
I am writing to clarify what is going to happen after May 28th.
We will not be teaching lessons at Falkland Road or on 1:1 after May 28th.
For students on 1:1 your lead tutor will be telling you which member of staff will be supporting you with your transition to post 16 courses. That member of staff will tell you when they will be working with you.
For students at Falkland Road, a member of the inclusion team will be telling you who will be supporting you with your transition to post 16 courses. That member of staff will tell you when they will be working with you.
All of you know that there are no GCSE examinations this year. Your teachers will be telling you what evidence they will be using to calculate a centre assessed grade. A member of staff will be explaining the process that we are using and asking you to confirm that you understand how we will work.
Our processes may be looked at by the examination boards and you may have more work that will help them to understand how we have worked with you and calculated Centre Assessed Grades. It is important that you keep all of the work that you have at home or in folders as we may need to collect this from you if we are asked for it by the exam boards.
Your GCSE results will be released on 12th August, you have a choice of options as to how you will receive them, these are:
1. Pick up results from Falkland Road on the morning of 12th August between 09:15 and 11:30.
2. Telephone Falkland Road between 09:15 and 11:30 on 12th August.
3. Via post, results will be posted to students home addresses on 12th August.
This is a lot of information to take in in 1 go. If you have any questions please ask your lead tutor, they will be able to provide an answer.
Last of all I want to congratulate you on all the hard work that you’ve done with staff at BHES and wish you the best of luck in your future.
Yours sincerely.
Jim Bowyer
