IMPORTANT UPDATE – changes to timetable

Dear Parents and Carers Re: Changes to Groups Timetable From Monday 20^th June 2022 we will be introducing a new timetable in our groups. We are doing this to increase the provision available to our students as well as to allow better access to large teaching spaces in our building across the working day. From Monday 20^th June all students move up into their new year groups, both at Falkland Road and on 1:1. This is to support anxiety management over the new school year in September. Experience has shown us that while the change is unsettling in June, it is extremely helpful in supporting students to return to BHES in September in a more settled way. Lessons for years 10 and 11 will run from 9-30am until 1-05pm with additional afternoon sessions available to students wishing to participate in our extended GCSE offer of Art, Additional Science and Spanish. Lessons for years 7, 8 and 9 will run from 11-10am until 3-15pm with additional activity sessions running from 9-30am for those wishing to participate in socially based curriculum such as: Cooking, Forrest school, Allotment club, D&D, Music and Film clubs. On 23^rd June the whole school will be participating in a trip to Brean Leisure park. While this is not compulsory, no lessons will be running on that day on site. On 24^th June alternative activities, a barbeque and leavers Assembly will be running for all students at Falkland Road.
