Covid information for Term 3, 2022

Given the latest Government guidance and the concern with regards to the new strains of Covid 19 currently circulating in the population the return to Falkland Road after the Christmas holidays is something that we are required to manage so that an outbreak of Covid infection does not occur at Falkland Road at the beginning of Term 3 in January.

Hence we will be sending all students home at the end of term 2 with a supply of lateral flow tests, all students will need to carry out a lateral flow test on the first morning that they return to Falkland Road in January.

If the result of the test is positive then students should not attend Falkland Road and you should follow public health advice with regards to isolation requirements. Students who are not able to attend Falkland Road will be able to attend classes virtually as all lessons will be accessible via our google platform.

Students who do not return a positive test result should come into lessons as normal.

We are asking students & staff to test at home so that anyone with a Covid infection does not come onto site and risk exposure to others.

Once term has started we are asking students and staff to continue to take lateral flow tests regularly. (ideally at the start of the week and midweek).

We have a large supply of test kits please ask us for some if you need them.

If you have any questions about covid testing or access to lessons remotely via laptops & tablets please do not hesitate to contact us.
